Please don’t try the baking soda trick. That’s an outdated advice that may bring more harm than good.For your purpose vitamin B3 and/or B5 are best, I can't guarantee they will solve your problem but when talking about B vitamins for acne those are the ones.
You might try glycolic acid 10% once a day everyday, it works quite well and it is inexpensive.
You might try a paste of baking soda and water, rub on skin and let it there as a mask for about 30 minutes, once or twice a week may suffice.
You might try onion juice, rub on skin everyday before bed, rinse in the morning.
Avoid topical oils of any kind, some are less comedogenic than others (emu and coconut, for example) but still in case of acne aren't recommendable.
I would leave topical vitamin A as last since can be nasty, there are better, safer and cheaper alternatives as the ones mentioned above.
The pH balance of the skin will be wrecked by baking soda. Simple search and you’ll find that baking soda, while was very popular in the 2000s, are now shunned from topicals.
