I've noticed a flurry of threads and opinions have died down considerably. It could be coincidence, but ever since Kmoody's research indicated that commercial c60oo might be dangerous for ingestion, I've noticed that the C60oo subforum has quieted alot.

Anyone have any updates on their regimens or health? Anyone still taking c60oo with continued benefits? Anyone with negative experiences? Any updates on Kmoody's research regarding commercial c60oo?

Just want to have an update check on people still interested in this supplement...

Hello samstersam and all,

yes I think people who vistited this forum regularly have noticed this, i.e. less traffic, too.

I am still using 1 Teespoon on Wednesdays and Sundays ( C60 from VW). Started in Summer 2013 (wow, nearly 5 years). I am aware of the discussion about commercial vendors etc. Looks like I am simply a bit to lazy to make my own, although I have 2 g C60 SES 99.95% in the fridge. I would also like to know, where the latest discussions went to. There is a C60 subforum at reddit and I am thinking about to register there.

What I can say is, that the positive effects were/are there with the VW-C60 in the small number of people I recommended it to, including my 87 now year old Mom.

And yes, all the posts and infos around the Kmoody et al. research were quite someting to digest and it would be really good to have new information and particularly real data.

What I can say about myself is, that the initially very clear positive effects of daily C60 1.5 mg (first 3 years, if interested see my older posts) have now merged into the background noise of life and the hedonistic treadmill.

A thing, which I have sensed, (I can be wrong here) is that C60 and NAD+ might not be used together or shortly one after one the other. Others have written alike. If I take 100 mg of LEF NAD+ one day after I have taken C60 (wedensdays and sundays), extreme triedness for 4-5 h occured. But I am not ready with the experiment and I do not want to proliferate uncorrect things. Today I have taken 100 mg NAD+ 3 days after the last C60 and things are OK.

In general, I am doing extensive blood tests for myself reularly (two times per year) and no red flag came up.

So If anybody has info as to where the latest news on C60 can be obtained, let us know. If there shoud be reason for privacy, private mail is wellcome too.

best to all,

MM

Yeah I quit using it. I want to wait until more research is done but so far I'm doubting that the original study can be replicated. I do take a tbsp of DeCarlo's EV olive oil a day with my vitamin D, K and viva labs fish or krill oil though.

We have raised $1.5M for our small molecule drug development company Antoxerene. This work will include commercial development of drugs for p53/FOXO4 and p53/MDM2 pathways as well as C60. More to come...

Very preliminary--

I've begun experimenting with C60/MCT/HT with added ellagic acid. Ellagic acid has poor bioavailability and low water & oil solubility, but has a planar, graphite-like structure that suggested it would readily absorb onto C60. In fact, it has been shown to absorb onto nano-graphene--

Functionalized graphene oxide as nanocarrier for loading and delivery of ellagic acid.

Ellagic acid is also a JAK inhibitor, and so might show promise for hair regrowth. In fact, I saw some definite regrowth after a week, and thus tried it both topically (in olive oil (no C60) and then in rose hip oil--too early to tell), and also tried taking a pomegranate extract with 40% ellagic acid. With the first oral trial (while also taking a couple of AMP activators), my hypertension turned into hypotension. Will have to see if this continues. Ellagic acid also reverses the JAK upregulation by cancer cells. It is also a AMPK activator, so it has many good features.

Several phytochemicals that are JAK2 inhibitors are also activators of AMPK, e.g. genistein and resveratrol. Other phytochemicals reported to activate AMPK in a variety of cell-based and animal models include apigenin, anthocyanins and ellagic acid.  Ellagic acid is a known kinase inhibitor due to its affinity for the kinase ATP binding site.

Interesting that someone would mention NAD+. Early on in taking C60 I noticed a significant increase in acid reflux, which was actually debilitating at times. I could of course have resorted to acid blockers, but found that niacinamide completely eliminated the problem. Taking it during the day made me feel tired, though, so I take it at night. And I make sure to take it when I'm taking C60, rather than avoid mixing them (although I take C60 in the morning because it keeps me awake if I take it at night).

In response to the main question here, obviously I still use it but I've always made my own and I keep it in the fridge between uses.
