Let’s talk about the potent serotonin antagonist metergoline. This compound is an agonist at D2 and antagonize 5ht2, 5ht6, 5ht7 and most importantly 5ht1a. Antagonizing 5ht1a autoreceptors should upregulate them. This would in turn lead to lower serotonin levels overall. This could fix SSRI induced libido issues and possibly emotional blunting/anhedonia symptoms. Read this thread if you haven’t heard about it: https://raypeatforum...-for-r-d.12908/
People with social anxiety should be extra interested. As social anxiety has recently been associated with elevated levels of serotonin. https://www.scienced...50617115327.htm.
I’m going to mix metergoline with parnate + nortriptyline + memantine to see if it has any benefits on sexual and emotional symptoms.
If anyone have tried metergoline, please tell us about your experience with the substance.
