nate, ive done all of that already, the 6 solutions to depression video you posted. in my case its more biochemical imbalance due to alcohol and drug abuse rather than just not getting enough sunlight, social life, or good sleep. and i do take omega 3s, but first time i hear they go bad unless refrigerated. it doesnt state anywhere on the bottle it needs refrigeration. wow, now thats interesting. so if they are spoiled, how would i know anyway, and how are they bad for you? do they do the opposite effect, actually cause depression instead of helping it??
Not sure about negative effects of spoiled fish oil but yes they need refrigeration. Get Viva Naturals brand as they rate highest quality on Labdoor. I refrigerate immediately after I receive it from Amazon.
Also try to nutritionally balance your omega 6:3 ratio using this as a reference.
A smoothie with these ingredients for example is high on the omega 3 (ALA) side: 2 cups Water, 2-4 Kale leaves, 3 oz Spinach, 1 tomato, 3 tbsp ground flax, 2-4oz blueberries. That covers all the micronutrients as well.
If you're drinking a lot your sleep is going to suffer a lot. Quality sleep is better than quantity. Stay within 7 to 7.5 hrs a night.
If it's weed, try to cut down a bit, it's not as bad as alcohol on sleep but it does prevent REM cycle while extending stage 4. If you have problems with will power, try the sauna. Increases in BDNF from exercise and sauna use are very effective in boosting one's capacity to do more.
Regularly listing 20 things about your life that are going well, like doing this every day, over a long period of time like 6 months can have a profound effect in developing a part of the brain that more naturally searches for the positives. You're probably already adept at finding negatives, it's all skill. Meditation helps too. All these things can be done in the sauna to kill three birds with one 20 min session. Download the headspace app, put some bluetooth headphones in there, leave the phone in the locker, go into the sauna and sit there for 20 mins doing the meditation.
How creative are you every day?
I hate to say this, but unless you do all these things consistently at least 4 times a week you're not going to beat it. It sucks, but it's one of those "have to's".
Also try microdosing 5ug of LSD one morning if you get a chance,
