Quality assurance in the supplement industry is a recurring issue, with high variance in product purity and label accuracy between vendors. Ichor Therapeutics is assessing the feasibility of beginning a Supplement Testing Program using FDA-grade GMP compliant analytical testing methods. We are conducting a survey to determine community interest and collect information about the most common supplements community members are taking to guide our focus.

High quality supplements aren't cheap, and testing individual supplements of a comprehensive supplement regime simply out of financial reach for most individuals. Also considering that each new batch could be contaminated again.

 

However, what is very doable and rather cheap are regular hair tissue mineral analyses, which tests for most toxic heavy metals from recent exposures.

 

 

PS: due to the sheer volume also think most contamination actually comes from food. Also somehow covered through HTMAs.
